I once, after a gig, put a sweaty white guitar into a SKB case. Yes  I forgot to wipe it down in the break down haste.

When next I opened the case, I found some of the black from the case's lining had made it's way onto the white guitar. I used an American version of T-Cut and it cleaned right up!

Good luck.

BTW - you told me a brand name for the American version of the product - and now I've forgotten. Might be useful for someone out there to know...?

Yes, it might. The stuff I have is made by 3M. It's marked "Rubbing Compound" and "Part No. 03900." I believe I bought it in the Automotive section of Walmart. It's a Scratch and Swirl remover.

I've always used it "by hand," with small bits of cotton terry-cloth towels.

To tremolo arm - I have to go out now for a few hours. But I'll check that email account later and see if you've dropped by.

Cheers - C

and now I know never to work on red fabric with a guitar. I honestly usually take a big (blue) seat cushion off my couch and put it on my coffee table and work on them there, now I know I should probably wrap the cushion in a white towel or something.

I'm sorry you got red on your guitar, but I'm glad I learned a valuable lesson from it.

[Later] OK trem arm: I got your email and have replied.

But let's see how it goes with the automotive scratch remover first.

Good luck - C
