I recently installed a alumiun pickguard shield behind my pickguard.There are Custom Shop Texas Special pickups with 250k pots and .022uf cap on tone.I had that same setup minus the 62 RI Alumiun plate.Instead just the factory shield.There is no comparison,it's a new Guitar,Absolutly no noise leak at all with Volume WFO sitting idle compared to factory shields or Tape on American Standards.So I don't believe that youngblood talk of there's no difference.Do it if you have a noise problem.Of course good soildering matters.
