I really like the sound of my middle pickup but it is not reverse wound.
I basically only have three usable positions on the 5 way switch.I know I will gain quieter more usable 2&4 positions on the switch.
The question is:
"How much different will a reverse wound pickup sound by itself?"
How does being RW effect the tone of that particular pickup?

By itself, there would be no appreciable difference. Teamed with one of the others, there will be a loss of high end vs. if the pickup was not RW/RP and teamed with one of the others. As to how much loss would vary depending on the two pickups' individual DC resistances .
