is it best to store my strat with the case standing up on it's edge, or lying flat? Does it make any difference to the way the guitar sits in the case?? It's my first Fender guitar and case and I was just wondering.....

I keep my guitars on the edge because that is closest to the position they are in when I play them. They are well supported in hard cases, and well protected from the elements.

I dont really think it matters.I store mine standing on the edge because it takes up less room.

It doesnt matter. I store em on edge to save room and i dont have to bend down as far to reach the handle. Theres also less chance of someone stepping or dropping something on it.

yeah i normally have my guitar on a stand at home. but if im gonna put it in the car or gonna go somewhere i always have them standing up. takes less room and less likely for the guitar to get damaged. :D

Friendly heat and humidity is in this experience much, much more important than the case's position.

That said, 'have heard the ideal is hanging. Anyone, thoughts?
