Hey guys,

New hear and looking at buying a Strat from a mate - trying to get an idea on price [in £/GBP]

Thinks you might need to know:
- Black
- Yellowed pick guard/pickups
- Load of chips/dents
- Made In Japan on neck

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks, Tim

Go to Ebay and do a completed listings search on that year and model. You'll know what they're selling for regardless of what they are "worth". 8) Mike

Cheers - checked the link... some good points! Something is only worth what you are prepared to pay for it!

Checked ebay completed listings but didn't have much luck

Offered around £300 - seems about fair to me.

without physicaly seeing the guitar its impossible to determine a value. A friend of mine got £150 for his fender authenticated made in america for export japanese strat. All because of a unusual serial prefix.
On the other hand i've seen em sell for ridiculous amounts £6-700+.
£300 is a very middle of the road figure but like i said its impossible to value without handling it
