hello, I´d like to know with the experts if this guitar is a fender American Standard original. if so, what year of manufacture it?

A guy is selling me it as a fender american standard. compared with the model 2009, the guitar I'm buying not have the "original contour body" in headstok among other details.

Judging by the pictures, it IS a Fender American Standard original.

Fender didn't put the, "original contour body" decal on the headstock of their earlier models. As to the year, have the serial number handy and go here for your answer:

Here's a picture of my 1999 Am. Std. Strat.
No "Original Contour Body" decal either.
Mine is legit, my local dealer ordered it straight from the factory.

First I would like to thank everyone. I do not have the serial yet, I gonna ask the guy I'm trading him to send me the serial number, but I think it is some series close to the Nedeye´s fender.

My doubt now is the following:

The Fender American Standard series of close to 1999 years are hot series?
