Mate- keep an eye on trademe every now and then- I saw an early SRV strat with brazilian rosewood fingerboard for $1900- mint. I think he had no clue what it was he had or what its worth was... that wasnt too long ago. good deals come up every now and then, you just have to keep your eyes peeled. Some will buy, play it a few times and then put it away- a few years later they have it on auction.. Paitence is needed but you'll find something. Otherwise, rockshop are selling the last of the pre-price rise stock now.. I must admit- they do have a bit of a monopoly I think
