Has anyone noticed that the new American Vintage 62 Reissue Stratocaster's no longer come with the mint pickkguard? They are also about $450.00 more then they were a couple years ago. I wonder why they switched to the white pickguard. The mint really gives the guitar a vintage look. I don't the new white.

Hello Mdr88,

Firstly, welcome to this forum.

I just looked at the Fender Specs on the
American vintage '62 reissue and it tells
us a 3 ply mint green is the guard.
Have a look at the "products" radio button.

Cheers.

I've noticed the white pickguard also. Mint green looks far better. And Fender did raise the price on not only the American Vintage Series but other guitars as well.
