Hey guys, I just got my first strat and I love it, I think im hooked for life now! But I do have a few questions. First, it is a Highway One guitar...but its Surf Green. I havnt seen anything on this site about that, but was wondering if it is anything special, or just a new color.

Also, I took off the sticker that covers where the trem arm goes in, and a black, small, spring came out. Should I be worried? I dont use the trem, I just wanted to know what the hell just came out of my guitar!

Last but not least, the guitar is AMAZING, but the G string buzzes just a little by the bridge area. It doesnt really seem like fret buzz. Is this something that will go away once I have the guitar properly set up, or should I just return the guitar and pick up the other one in the shop (which didnt sound as nice and got whacked out of tune easily). Thanks for your time guys!

Don't worry about the string buzz, put on some new strings after a while
and if it's still there give the saddle screws a tweak.
The little spring is to keep some tension on the tremolo-arm so it don't
swings around.

Surf Green is an old school Fender color.

You know I have noticed the same thing while visiting some local guitar shops. Some HW1s our in random colors. I saw a HSS (Upgrade) in a great Walnut finish and I saw a SSS in a 2 tone sunburst comapred to the 3 that usually comes on these.

Good score with finding one in Surf Green it is one of my favorite vintage colors.

It is always cool to have a guitar (color) that not too many people have...
Anyway the guitar is brand new most music stores leave them out for weeks months years... SO they are touched, plucked ,strummed by lots of curious people. The guitar is made of wood let it get used to it's new surroundings I know this sounds weird but it is wood and that's how wood is.
SO I would just change the strings since who knows how long they have been on the guitar.
Also Save the spring they are a pita to find when you need one. but it won't effect the performance of the guitar.

I have been settin' up and re-adjusting My guitars for over 30 years.
If you are stillnervous find a good guitar tech he will know what to do.
