Hi, I just wondered if anyone could advise me on the value of my Fender as I want to sell it but I can't find anything to compare it to.

It is a 1988 USA Fender Stratocaster in Daphne Green, it has never been played as it has been in storage for the last 20 years. There is no thret wear at all on it.

I would keep it but as I play Bass there is no point.

I would be grateful for any advice.

According to the 2008 Vintage guitar price guide, a 1988 American standard stratocaster in various colors, in exc. condition should sell for between $750-$900 with original case.

Why are you selling it?Why was it never played?Here is the deal...Although 20 years old seems old for a guitar it really isn't for collector value..They were mass produced in the late 80's and not hard to come by now ..So they have no collector value .. Unfortunately it is worth nothing more than any other mint but used MIA Strat ..Once it leaves the showroom floor it is considered used regardless of if its been played or not..I would say no less than $750 no more than $900..With the condition you say it is in the closer to the $900 the better...
