I vote the strat as the pound for pound winner of the most durable guitar made to date.

They are made to take a beating and something about them doesn't make you feel bad when when they get a battle scar.

Not only were the Tele and Strat built to be durable, but they were also designed in a way in which they could be easily repaired. Remember, they were introduced to a market full of set- and through-necks and glue. You could almost call them modular.
