FYI - you can get the same digital calipers at Home Depot for $40 and no shipping.


And for around £12 ($19)at the local sunday morning carboot. I think Ceri's point was that you can buy a sledgehammer to put a picture hook up. :lol:

Hi Strataholic: where I live I can get digital calipers for half that Stew-Mac price. Those Stew-Mac ones are just regular calipers, except they have a couple of notches machined into them for measuring fret heights. I kidded myself into thinking that those notches might be vitally useful so I paid the silly price - and trans-Atlantic shipping on top.

Never once yet needed those fret notches. Maybe one day I will and then I'll be able to feel I didn't just throw my money in the fire... :roll:
