Nice find Xhefri! You sure don't see very many of these with the quilt maple; in fact I've never found one in person, I've just seen photos on-line. Looks like a very clean, low-milage Ultra as well.

Oh Yeah, That's Purty! :)

Are you going to leave it stock or work your fiendish magic on it?

@Xhefri

Here's another cool custom Plus build you can make with a slanted Dually Red humbucker in the bridge and a Blue in the neck. Pick a Warmoth body and finish it in Moonburst. Black plastic parts and a maple neck will round out this beauty.

This guitar would be a nice nod to Robbie Robertson and his Band. :D

No sure who that was but maybe JasonSD or our buddy in NZ???

I don't own one, but almost bought one once, can't remember what the guy was asking for it. But I posted some pics before. I think Blertles has a flamed top one, not curly. Someone did post not too long ago that they had one, and I reposted the pics of the one I almost bought.

That is the one I remember seeing (at the top of the thread). And I even commented a few posts down. I guess "old timers disease" must be setting in! :lol: :lol: Back a few years ago I owned 2 of these Tobacco Burst curly maple top USA STRAT DELUXE SPECIAL EDITION. I think they were a special run for the Guitar Center, maybe a couple 100 were made?? The last one I had I sold to David Loggins (widely remembered for his 1974 composition "Please Come to Boston" tune and is second cousin of singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins).

The tops on these were almost identical to this Ultra

Funny, I was just researching the Robbie Robertson Strat and how they were wired. After watching The Last Waltz it kind of motivated me. Thought about building one. Kind of a weird thing he did with the 3-way switch on that. Maybe this winter!

I think I like the body of the special edition better than the Ultra. I like the fact that the edges appear to be lighter.

+1 :lol: It shows a lot more of the Maple top. Too bad this Ultra is not like that.

Here is a very nice 1988 Strat Plus i recently picked up. Super clean. Only a few small edge dingys on the back of the neck that are barely noticeable. I love this color as I know ZZdoc does too! It is called Pewter! 8)

Is that a Mystic Black Plus?

The Firestorm Tele Plus is awesome! Looks like it has a non-roller nut. Is the guitar stock or customized to some extent? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

In haste I forgot to mention the color. It is Pewter. Clapton used this on some of his Signature Strats. :P

The Firestorm is complete stock. I know someone will tell me it is a fake or I painted it, or something! :roll:
