LOL, Where did you get that term, "pre-mid 1993"? LOL! That is unique!

Say Jeff.....might there be a mid'93 milestone associated with this guitar???

What I meant is that the guitar was manufactured before mid-93... As noted the change to a LSR nut from wilkinson nut, logo change from 'modern' to spaghetti and also pickguard change to pearloid from w/b/w from mid-'93 onwards... Sorry, it was pretty late at night when I typed that.. lol

Funny, I thought you got it from my website as I use the term and tell people that I thought I made up a new word!

I get hassled by my partner when I don't talk in 'proper (british) English'.. (american english is very different) Every time I slip out an incorrect phrase she'll call me on it- I don't think I would have gotten away with it if she read what I typed, it was merely a case of not using good hyphenation wisely lol

Boy, Ive always felt sorry for those who study English as a second language..

I always tell my Brit friends that we Americans took the Queens English and improved on it. Oh boy, does that get them riled up!

It is interesting to see these side by side as the finish will vary some from one guitar to another. It has been reported to me that there are a few fakes floating around, but they are easy to spot. The second picture was taken on my work bench so you see the reflections of the Venetian Blind on the body.

This one has been upgraded with Chrome Dome pickups, different pickguard and knobs.

Do they make a chrome pickup cover for my 2013 Strat Deluxe with N3's? I want chrome pickup covers that are solid with no holes? What are yours, an do they make the ones im wanting? Thanks for any help?

Jason - from the text that guitar had Lace's "Chrome Dome" Lace Sensor pickups on it. They came with those chrome covers from Lace. Lace's are a different pickup technology than the N3sl most Lace Sensor models are designed to be completely covered. The N3s are designed to have the polepieces exposed; in fact they have different heights (or "staggerd heights") to balance the strings. If you cover up the polepieces then you will likely really muffle the sound of the pickups.

Fender did a Vintage Noiseless Strat pickup set with chrome covers. It was offered on a couple of Custom Shop Strats a few decades ago (I cannot remember the exact date).
