So, Albala!
Do you have any Plus, Plus Deluxe or Plus Ultras?

Toppscore I have a peavey Vypyr because of the price and the fact I know basically diddly squat about electric guitars..it is my intention before the year is out to actually move one or two knobs on the amp besides the volume..and I have to share this because It is too funny..on the dvd intructions for the amp ( Yes I read them because I am a female ..I know your species does not do this LOL ) the very first part was pointing out which ports were which..knobs etc etc..it points to the input jack and says "If you do not know what this is for pack up the amp and immediately go to the music store and buy drum sticks or something else" I want to meet the person who designed the cd hysterical..
Down the road if I become worthy I will maybe upgrade the amp but for now I really like mine

I have a 2011 Peavey Vypyr 30w amp head for practice.
Love it. Has the headphone jack and lots of modeling possibilities.
Wish more amps had the headphone jack.
How do you like your Vypyr? Pretty light amp, right?
Toppscore :)

I seriously like the amp and lots of times just use it playing clean..and your right about the headphone jack..its a small one so I can use my good mp3 player headphones which are not annoying..It is light! only feature that I found rather silly was the onboard tuner..much prefer my plain old hand held Korg btw my peavy is the 15..Im pretty sure my neighbors hate me occasionally..

Mona. I've quite a few headphone sets and most of them have the
quarter inch connector that will unscrew leaving an eighth inch connector. This way I can
use my much more comfortable pro headphone sets rather than those MP3 headphones.
Good to have the flexibility, as with many other plugs, connectors & outlets.

Coincidentally, last night I was playing my 1960's "amp in a hard shell guitar case"
I've recently purchased. Bass, Treble, Gain/Distortion, Volume.
Maybe a four or five inch speaker. Works great. It is a blast

I didn't know when purchased, but this early 1960s "amp in a case" actually had a
group of six separate green LEDs with red LED arrows on each side of the six green LEDs
for tuning each string. I figured it wouldn't work, not be good, considering age & usage.

Well, how cool can that on-board tuner be? I had to restring my low E string, anyway.
I would turn the tuner until the green light brightened.
The left & right red arrows would let me know if it was sharp or flat!
Once the E string was right, using harmonics, I tuned the A string,
and, whammo! The A green LED light indicated perfection! No red arrows at all!
This worked all the way up to the high E string.

Then, screwing around on the Low E string, when I played A or D or G or B, etc,
the green lights for the other strings would light up, even while still plucking away
on the low E string. Amazing. Totally cool :D Very nice little "vintage adventure".

By the way, I could not locate manufacturer markings on this "amp in guitar",
but I've noticed that Silvertone sold amps-in-guitar cases during that era.

I'm suspecting this particular guitar "amp-in-box" is an extremely rare and most
secret Fender beta test product that never went into production. Probably under
"double sworn Fender secrecy" oath. This might be an extreme rare
"one-of-a-kind" Fender prototype that even Greg Gagliano, John Teagle, John Sprung,
Tom Wheeler nor Dave Hunter never new existed.
Gotta get it appraised for insurance reasons.
Might even have an experimental beta super secret prototype Jensen P5N speaker

Just got my "amp-in-case" in and played with it as mentioned in detail,
in yesterday's post in this thread. It is exciting. A very rare Fender secret
prototype, again as mentioned. First available known photos.

Can't wait to take it to Christmas, Holiday, Family & small party gatherings.
Very simple and all inclusive and easy to transport.
The high/gain/distortion channel is years ahead of it's time.
4x6L6 power tubes, 6x7025 preamp tubes, and this five-inch bomber smokes

Check it out. Toppscore 8)

Hi There,

I'm new to owning a USA Strat. I've previously had MIM & a Japanese Model. I own a half a Strat Plus (I've figured out) maple fingerboard with E4 serial no, Gold Lace Sensor pickups and 3 color sunburst identically looking to the image attached in the previous post BUT:

http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm95/s4cabriolet/stuff2/IMG_0859.jpg

A big question I have is this. The difference is I have a Hard Tail. Now from what I've gathered NO Strat Plus models that were released from '87 came without a Trem system.

Is this another body that somebody put Gold Lace Sensor pickups and added the Strat Plus neck? I also have what seems to be the original case. It's a deluxe molded Case.

Here are the images of my Guitar.

I didn't take a close up of the back of the tuning heads but it says Speigel on the back of each of them.

Would somebody please give me some advice as I'm trying to find on some more details on it and how I can figure out what Body this is as it doesn't seem to be right. The closest info I have is finding that the Robert Cray models have that hard tail bridge and 3 color sunburst but no Gold Lace Sensors in them...

Cape Town, South Africa

No. Things are not correct.
You probably have a Strat or Strat copy with Lace Sensor pickups added.
Toppscore :)
