Hey Guys, which one of you showed me a transparent Black Burst Plus and I mentioned it was Mystic Black and then they told me Fender marketed the color by a different name? I am trying to remember the other name! Help me out! :-)

Me I think. I have one. I don't know if it's Fender that labelled it, or Guitar Center, but it's labelled on the reciept as Ebony Frost.

Here's a Strat Plus Deluxe with a solid figured walnut body. Not sure if Fender ever offered the Pluses with walnut bodies, but I think this guitar looks much like a partscaster in my eyes than a genuine Fender.

This guitar (not mine, IMO) had a tasteful brown shell pickguard and a Gotoh VS300 tremolo.

Nice battery of Strats there Xhefri- my favourites are your Inca Silver and Blue Pearl Dust  The Inca Silver reminds me of this strat, which is played by Tim Renwick who was on the Pink Floyd Pulse tour:

Some say its a Customshop Strat and some say it is a Strat Plus, but it definately has Lace Sensors- to me it looks like a pre mid-93 Plus with the wilkinson nut and plain pickguard :) Ive studied and freeze-framed these vids and it looks like a standard plus to me

Just got this one a few days ago from Daddys Junky Music. I sent an email awhile back about trading for it, but, never followed through with it. When the Elite Strat popped up on their site I jumped on it right away. After I got that, I noticed the price for the Plus had been lowered a bit, so finally decided to just buy that one too. Online Sales Manager Bob Foley sent an email...
Hi Lewis, I wanted to touch base with you quick to let you know that the guitar will be shipping on Friday. I’m going to pull it to our corporate warehouse for you tomorrow so I can run it through the shop, set it up to play perfect, and give it a general once over to make sure you receive a quality piece of used gear. I’d be happy to put your favorite strings on it for you, so if you want to just shoot me a quick email to let me know what you want on it, I’ll get those for you. Thanks!

A day or so later I got a phone call from Mr.Foley, said his tech had gone through the guitar, plays, sounds, looks great, but may have a neck issue he wanted to disclose before sending it out and did I still want it. After discussing the problem he offered a discount plus a full thirty days to return it instead of the usual fifteen.

He said the tech thought the truss rod may be fully adjusted. I told him I was willing to take a chance if he was willing to give a discount. He offered to take $80 off to make it an even $600, I told him send it out as I'm on stay-cation next week and I will have time to play the heck out of the thing. So far after a few days I have only had to raise the high e string saddle. I am really happy with the guitar and the service I have gotten from Daddy's.

Cool. You can't really tell from my pics, but that's the same color as my red one.

Looks good. I bought a black pickguard and back plate for mine, and was going to get some black lace sensors for it, but never got around to buying the pickups.

Nice strat you have there mate, is that Candy Apple Red? it may be due to the sun or the age of the finish (if it has yellowed) but it looks slightly diff to the normal CAR im used to seeing :) Mind you, I have only seen them on MIM strats in recent years

Glad you like it, not sure what red it is, it does have some metal flake. I think it is just a bit darker than candy apple red.

I am 99% sure this is an early CAR. Even thought Fender did not list this color in 87-90 there are some floating around. I have a very early 87 CAR Plus, with a split nut (as yours has) and it is darker too due to the aging of the clear coat. Yours is in nice shape for a 87-88! If this was a solid color it would be Lipstick Red or the more pinkish dark red is Razzle Berry.
