I've got a feed set up for Strat Pluses on Reverb. This one popped up today. Says it's an all original Deluxe but there are a lot of discrepancies to that in the pictures and info provided!

This is a short lived Deluxe American Standard Strat. I have a section dedicated to this right at the start of my Strat Plus website page. Not a Strat Plus!

You guys might want to check out my face book page for Plus guitars. Always threads going on there too.

Sharp eye. Contact the seller and send them to Xhefri's website to see what an '89 plus should look like. Will be interested in their response and Xhefri's. He has an interesting story about a run of American Deluxe Stratocasters in that time frame. This might be one of them. Or just a Frankenstrat.

It could become an "Extremely Rare .. Vintage .. Prototype" model .. through the power of words! Here's hoping the serial numbers/pot dating/colors/body rout/neck contours/etc. etc. etc. all match up! 8)

101 pages and no posts for almost a year? Wake up! I just bought an 89 Strat Plus in Black Pearl Burst (reverse burst) yesterday. It's had the pickups swapped out for Lace Chrome Dome hum buckers and they're amazing. I've owned hundreds of Fenders before, even had another Strat Plus a couple of years ago but this has got to be my favorite Fender ever.

Hey Xhefri, do you have the strat Ultra diagram?
Can you share it please?

I picked up a nice Strat Ultra but the pups were replaced...
I grabbed a Jeff Beck loaded pickguard from ebay but it's different.
Pls don's send me to Google because I tried it already. Thanks!

Seems like Xhefri isn't very active on the forum these days - maybe try a PM.
But meanwhile, does this help in any way:

I picked up a Strat Plus last Saturday and a Strat Plus Deluxe this Saturday. See if I can get the pic to work. I have 2 other Strat Plus' and another Strat Plus Deluxe too, so 5 total.

One of your babies has some Lace Ultra guts mounted into an aged white pearloid pickguard as the avatar thumbnail suggests.

Yeah I posted about it before but I'll post again. I bought this Strat Plus Deluxe. The original owner changed the bridge pickup to a dually. I got the original pickguard and pickup with the guitar. He had an Ultra pickguard on it, but didn;t have it wired like an Ultra. I wired it like an ultra and added the mini switch. I also changed the locking tuners, saddles, and Wilkinson nut to chrome, so it would be more like an Ultra. I got the aged pickguard from Xhefri for $25 I think, maybe $15. I would of preferred a nice bright white pearloid, but the dually pickguards are hard to find so it'll do. The pickups have aged and match now anyway.

Here's another pic, but it's kind of large.

This ebony frost monster deserves a wealthy dose of 25dB gain for that extra kick you might expect from the humbucking dually bridge pickup.

Therefore the wiring scheme would look like this:

- Master Volume

- Active Mid Boost Bypass Switch

- Master TBX

- 3-way Dually Pickup Coil Selector (Rear Coil, Full Humbucker in Series, Front Coil)

- Master Mid Boost (0-25dB)

Only then your guitar would benefit all the cool features from the Strat Ultra combined with an active mid-boost circuit for added versatility.
