I finally managed to get my dirty little fingers on a Strat Plus.
Got it via a local eBay type of auction site, you don't see many pluses here around, and the few one are usually not cheap. This one was offered at a very fair price, it was just labeled as an US made Strat but I recognized on the go that it was a Plus. Serial number says it's from 1990.
I waited until the last minute to place my bid, I was sure that there would be others guys doing the same, but....no. Boy I was happy :P . Seller said it was in a very good state, and from the pictures it relly looked like it was.
So I went to pick it up at his place yesterday, the guy liveas at about 150km from my place, but it was well worth the drive.
The guitar was indeed in very good condition, the seller was more into classical guitar and music, but at the time he decided to try a bit of electric, bought the guitar but never really got into electric guitar so he seldomly played it. On the pics he posted the guitar seemed black, but when he opened the case I saw a beautiful green-blue metallic colour, that was quite a treat! Just had a few minutes to play it last night, sounds beautifully and different from my Ultra, much brighter and "Stratty" imho. It will need a string change and a good setup and then it will be good to go.

So here's a picture, I'll take some better ones later in sunlight, as the colour is definitely more greenish (looks like sage green) than what it seems on this picture.

So here it is:

Thanks for your answer! 8)
Indeed it looks really similar to Gun Metal Blue pictures I see on the net, but in the sunlight I'd say it's greener, but we'll see as soon as I can post better pictures.

Should have checked Xhefri's site first, actually the picture of the Ice Blue Strat seen here http://xhefriguitars.com/page2.html looks very similar to mine.

It's listed in the 1989 colours, but could be that some early 1990 models came out in that colour, or my guitar is 1989 one and not 1990? (serial E940826)

Nice Score! Yeppers, Gunmetal Blue....but they are always greenish looking. Not sure why Fender called it a blue but they did. I have had a number of these and I love the color.

I looked at it in different light conditions, and definitely it's Gun Metal Blue as Chromface and Xhefri pointed out. 8) Funny as I couldn't find a spot to make it look as green as I had it in my mind, my eyes kinda tricked me it seems. But in bright sunlight it becomes more sparkly and a bit greener for sure, very nice colour indeed!

In my defence, when I arrived to pick it up and then back home I had been wearing dark sunglasses for about two hours each time, that might have tricked my eyes?
