Yeah I'll try to do it in a little bit. I can't quite make out the date on the body. It's either 95 or 96. The neck is actually from a 91 strat plus I have, but I like the maple neck with the red, and going to put a 93 rosewood neck on the 91 body, it's midnight blue.

These were taken in bright light, so might appear slightly lighter than it is.

I was going to mod it to make like a modern strat plus, but putting black emerald, silver purple lace sensor pickuos, and having all black pickguard, kbobs and switches (that's why the trem plate is black) and maybe doing a S1 switch, but spent the money I had for that on other guitars.

So I put the old stuff back on there for now.

I have a black/grey burst Ultra that I've owned since new in 1991. It's as original except for the roller nut which I changed for a graphite one.

I have the original case, case candy, strap, lead, manuals etc.

I'm unusual in that I really love the lace sensors, which give a very different sound- not typically 'stratty', but a powerful, fat, smooth sound, esp with both the rear pickups switched in.

Its a very versatile guitar- the unusual switching configurations give some different sounds to usual.

The build quality is superb- beautifully finished, and I love the maple top and back with the ebony 'board. It has been gigged through my final year at school, then university, and ever since, and its still in excellent condition. The front pickup failed, so I bought a new blue sensor, but sadly it's white, unlike the rest of the plastic which has aged a little creamy. I wonder if it could be aged to match.

It still holds its own against anything these days... I can't believe its nearly 20 yrs old!

i did a search but couldn't find it. there really should be a sticky on the matter. (it comes up a lot)

but in basic terms.

1. create a picture sharing account ie. photobucket.com
2. upload pictures from camera directly to account (photobucket)
3. copy the img code ie.
4. paste it in fender.com message box.
5. wait for applause (peeps love pics)
:D

Hey mojoredfoot -

Did you strat plus come with interchangeable maple and rosewwod necks. On your OP it appears that the neck has changed from maple to rosewood or do you have two strat plusses?

No. That's 2 different guitars. The black guitar w/ maple is my 1989 strat plus deluxe. The white guitar w/ rosewood is a 2001 American Standard.

Hi gang, thought i'd dig this thread up and show you my new strat plus-

It's a '93 in Carribean Mist with the Wilkinson nut so I think it would be early to mid '93. The condition is dead mint with the exception of a little ding on the bottom that you can hardly see. It has all of the case candy which is a bonus when I got it, and the case is excellent with no warping going on :P I love the colour :D :D :D

Here are the pics, enjoy!!
The 2 large books are, a 1993 range specifications book  and the next a manual!

Thank you- I've just looked them up, and I'll send them a mail.

Oddly enough, I was playing the Ultra last night, hadn't played it for a while. It always blows me away how well it plays, and how versatile it is.

Hey - anyone get any new strat pluses lately? - OH YEA - I DID - I recently got a beautiful dead mint (yea, they always say that) 97 strat plus in Inca Silver with rosewood board. It has all the original options and narry a scratch or a ding anywhere. Real nice flame on the neck too. I'm having a fit with Photobucket for pix - surely there must be something simpler?? Anyway, having a blast and I can't put her down!
