Remember...Andy put all the projects into one reference thread? Dummo mee found it and neglected to write it down. It ought to be reposted for anyone who hadn't seen it yet.

That got my curiosity aroused, what a great resource that reference thread would be.

A quick search turned up a broken/tore down link from this thread:

Hi dgnutsch: the Good Doctor just emailed me and asked me to link to my "Touching Up Nikininja's Body" build thread for you. Obviously I'm far too bashful to do that, but instead here is a directory of all (nearly) of the build threads on this Forum. Some good stuff to be found here (and also one or two of mine):

Although it was bumped in Feb. 2013 every link on the pages I tried was broken

The requested URL /community/forums/viewtopic.php was not found on this server.

Fortunately, there are titles and authors listed in each post for a Search.

I found this searching for "The building of a custom strat plus" & *xhefri:

http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=32056&hilit=The+Building+of+a+Custom+Strat+Plus

Restoring the entire topic would take a better man than I!

Got a few of yours in there. You MUST remember when he put this all together. There's so many great guitars, but as I said, I'm still gassed by ORCRist's Supermarine. Man...we watched that thing grow. The way he designed the art and had it transferred to the wood was remarkable. He wanted to present it to 'the man' [Dave Murray]himself. We never found if he was successful.

I went to the link you posted and got to the thread titled:

Build Thread Listing. A place for knowledge and research!

When I click on any of the links posted within that thread they are broken.

I sure hope it's just me bad clickin'. :(

Yep your right and I know why. Some time back Fender changed it root directory on it's ULRs for the Forum. Why? You got me. The old threads started with a http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ directory and then they were changed to: http:// forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php (I had to put a space between // and forums to get the ULR to be viable. Crazy HTML language thing but at least you can see the change that was made.)

See the difference? Why they changed, IDK. I know some time back I had to search out some of these threads and change the links on my website. So what to do now with this thread? Maybe there is a magic way by just finding the thread number in the ULR and pulling it up that way? Plain sucks.....

Hey Rob Schwarz, we need some MAGIC! :)

I'm not a programmer by any means, but it sure seems like a thread worth saving, even if it would be a "teensy bit" laborious.

I've already got xhefri's:

http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=32056&hilit=The+Building+of+a+Custom+Strat+Plus

Trying to chase down Twelvebar's - Some paint spilled on my body!!( (a partscaster thread)

Not even sure if this is it:

http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=49944&hilit=a+partscaster+thread

This could take awhile!

Try going in the back door by searching the posts of the author's.  That's how I found The Nutter's.
Brad just lost his father, so I'm not going to bother him with this presently. 'Better come back, maybe next week'.

Here is a cool Strat Plus DX I picked up a while ago. And again with Fender serial numbers and manufacturer dates do not always jive. N3 serial number but a 1994 Anniversary model in Caribbean Mist! :-)
