Looks to me to be a 1989 Ice Blue Strat Plus that someone changed out the pickguard to a Lonestar or some custom modification. If you pulled the guard so we could see the back of the pickups we could tell you more. I have one this color in my collection. Very hard to find color. Mine has a maple neck and I posted it in this thread a page or so back. Check it out. I do not think the Lonestar Strats came in this color.

Ice Blue Metallic was a colour option for the Hot-Rodded American series in 1999.

Our chick's beloved axe is a genuine '99 USA Lonestar Strat which has been modified with an '89 Strat Plus neck.

Yes, but did Lonestar Strat come in Ice Blue Metallic in 1999? 8)

If Ice Blue was offered as a colour option for the Hot-Rodded American Series from that year, then it should normally be available on the US Lonestar.

Not all Hot-Rodded American guitars and basses were finished in Ice Blue.

JOHN C, HOW DO YOU THINK :?:

The Lone Star was replaced by the "American Fat Strat Texas Special" in the Hot Rodded American Series.

My 2000 American Series Texas Special was the replacement for the Roadhouse.

I have a brochure for the American Series at that time and it does not show an Ice Blue Metallic. It does offer Aqua Marine Metallic and a Teal Green Metallic.

If I had a million bucks for every time Fender changed its underwear, I could buy the company. Meanwhile, we're sitting around here sorting out it's laundry and getting hot under the 'color' over it. It's supposed to be fun, ya'll.

Get it :?:

Ice Blue was offered in 1999 only. Fender dropped that colour as of 2000.

Sorry guys I don't have those old Fender Frontline catalogs any more - I was running out of storage room and wound up purging them. So I can't track down the color options for various years any more.

On my monitor I have no idea what that original color of Sylviia's Strat is - it could be ice blue, or it could be the teal green metallic as they both show up pretty similarly on both my work PC monitor and my home laptop monitor. It looks a bit more like the teal green metallic to me (again - based on the color settings and resolution on my monitors) so I'm thinking it's a Lone Star Strat body/pickups with the 1989-1990-ish (based on the E9 serial number) Strat Plus (or Strat Plus Deluxe) neck.

Based upon some of the questions I've put to Consumer Relations, much depends upon dates. Their computer records don't appear to go back very far.

I have 1992 Strat Plus that needs a refret.

I want same kind of frets like the originals but I don't know exact fret size and type. Specifications says that frets are jumbo-frets, but I need more accurate info to find same kind of frets like the originals.

Does anybody can help me to find right frets?

If you take the guitar to a luthier, he can look at it and tell you what size wire to use. Fender called them medium/jumbo frets...

Xhefri, Where can I get the allen screws for the Strat Ultra Floyd Rose bridge? Mine are just about stripped out and need to be replaced.

I missed this some how. Check at a hardware store, NAPA, or a machine shop. Between those you should be able to find them. Pretty commonly used as a set screw.
