Actually, because of the white blonde finish, there were parts of the finish that looked exactly like a marshmellow!

That is the hard way to get a memorable guitar that you wont let go of..Hope the best for you on your future rebuild of your home...The bass player that lives with me is going threw the same thing ..His insurance company is making him really nervous so i hope yours does better for you then what his is doing for him..
