I got a Fender Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster. Has the synchronized tremolo i beleive its called. anywho i cant get the tremolo arm screwed in. Is there a special trick to it or something. It appears the arm is to small for the hole thats there and it just sits in there, doesnt thread in or anything. Or is it just suppose to sit in there and not screw in?

I've never dealt with a Squier Vintage Modified, but I'll try anyway.

It probably will feel a little loose but be able to screw in. If it isn't catching threads at all, I'm guessing you don't have the arm that's supposed to go with it. Did you buy it used? I'd go back to the party you bought it from and find out if they have the right one. If it's new, you should just be able to bring it back to the dealer and find out what the deal is.

its brand new. It got shipped here so its not like i can bring it in there as the place is in a different province. The threads arent catching at all as i can just slid it in and out. Im almost thinking i got the wrong arm

Can you contact a Fender dealer and explain your situation? They might hook you up w/a correct arm and send the one you got back to Fender. Just a thought. Just keep your cool, don' t lose on the the guys.
