Post subject: Tele pickup on a strat

I have a 06 MIM HSS Strat that I'm thinking of changing the neck pickup on. As I like the sound of the neck pup on the telecaster, I was thinking of using a neck pup from a tele. anyone done this before? What did you think of the sound? Any advice/comments would be welcome.

I've done it a few times. Each episode sounded like a weaker, bassier Strat pickup. Believe me, you will not gain anything by doing it.
