Yesterday was a NGD for me, and am very happy with my find. I was just curious about the Gilmore EMG DG-20 upgrade. I had the opportunity to play the new Gilmore reissue yesterday, but just could not get past the $4,800 price tag. I did end up with a 57 Hot Rod, so at least I am starting with the right platform (or close anyway). What are the forum opinion of this setup. Is it worth it?

My opinion is why not just buy the gilmour if thats what you wanted? Whats the point of spending £1200 on a guitar your ultimately not happy with.
Also to my ear the scn's leave anything emg produce choking on dust. The tonezones a very singular pickup and may not be to everyones taste. But marries up well to the scn in the bridge/mid possition and provides a very well balanced not bucker not sc sound.
If you want the neck and bridge or all 3 together options theres a far easier route. Search for the frailin blender pot mod. You can use the existing pot but it will work in reverse.

Thanks Niki for your input. I am not displeased at all with what I have, I was just curious because the store manager where I bought my guitar was all gaga over those PuPs. I am not one to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars in pursuit of someone elses sound.
