Nice looking guitar!!!

I'm guessing that's somewhere in the neighborhood of a 10MP camera. You might want to shrink those down to fit them on the screen better.

Yours looks great, tortoise sets off the amber type burst.I`m going from tortoise to black as my sunburst is dark on the edges.

Very true. Giving your guitar a little makeover can make a huge difference and be very satisfying. Although not as nice a guitar as those shown here by tdanb2003 and maxoom, even my modest Squier Standard Strat looks much prettier with its upgraded pearloid pickguard.

Maxoom, I like the black on black...RR Looks like a different guitar... with the MOP guard. Did you replace the bridge too? It looks like an MIA bridge with a 2 point tremolo.

Nope, the bridge is original. It is a 2-point one, though. All I replaced was the pickguard, pickup covers and knobs. The second shot is a little more dead-on to the camera, so the flash really caught the candy apple red--that probably contributes to its looking like a different guitar. But suffice it to say I endorse your idea of an inexpensive makeover as GAS relief.

Your guitar is stunning, BTW! 8)
