So Ive been wanting a daphne blue strat for awhile. I cant find a daphne blue strat with 22 frets and a maple board. I also hate the 2 point tremolo on my american standard. Its the floating stlye so I cant do alternate tunings. I would really like a 6 point trem that sits flush with the body. Soooooo, I just bought a daphne blue strat body on ebay. It was loaded with everything but a neck, it also had a 6 point tremolo. So now im gonna get a 22 fret maple neck of the bay and Ill be set. So what do ya think?

Hi callen3615: gotta love those '50s Custom Colors! Wish they were available on other guitars beyond the reissue models.

Modern neck on a period spec body is a good idea. You're not the first person to think of it: did you see this recent thread?

I have it working now. THe problem was when I screwed it all the way down it was pinching the pickguard. I took it off and filled it down. Now its works good.

So are you reconsidering the 2pt for your project?

For a true "vintage" buiild I'd probably go with the 6pt too, although I actually prefer the 2pt.

No dude. I already bought a body that came with a 6 pt trem.
