My Take? I think he really does have/own that guitar. So I have no reason to doubt his story that his Dad bought it for him. He seems to have believed that it was a Fender Custom Shop. I don't think he made it, as his paint jobs are a lot more creative (and special!).

I think it's time to turn his energies to "good" because his paint jobs are pretty good. He could become a Crash or a Pamelina H.

Damn man.. What a mess this thread is.

Keep painting pimp paint jobs kid. But at the very least, let this thread be a lesson that there are a lot people who can smell a fraudulent guitar a mile away. It can actually ruin your business if you try to create them yourself.

Unfortunately, I view that kind of thing as a general disrespect for us.

Well yes but that was quite apparent on page1 of the thread.

Yeah man, I don't think this guy is a fraud at all. Just some dude who doesn't know much about CS guitars and looking for help.

Niki, you're an evil man

But seriously, it's not nice to make fun of a foreigner's language. If he was native English or from the U.S., then yes. But that's not cool.

I suggest you keep it and not sell it, because as of now it's not worth a lot.

I'd offer the opinion based on the eloquence of his calmer posts that the OP is english or english is his countries primary or other top language, kind of like South Africa (not that i think he's south african). The hue of the plaster in the picture posted on page one is very similar to british plaster but slightly too pink. Taking a further look at his photos and a poke around google (bermay automotive)provides the answer of Austrailian.

Your not as anonymous as you think on the internet.

So, Niki, gathering from our previous 'experiences,' we can judge that Aussies are a bit more gullible? ;)

Should we order some DNA swabs and get a Vinnypop 4tune paternity test?

He might need Vinny to mentor him, on some of the social graces.

Seriously, though, I think there's a real possibility that the Aussie market, and it's proximity to certain pacific markets with a reputation for forgeries may mean our Aussie m8's might need to be more diligent than some of us in more insulated markets. I think with the extremely high prices Aussies face, and the closeness of these cheaper fakes might mean they have to sort through a lot of fakes.
