hi guys i got a custom shop voodoo relic and it is sex!! :D but i have to sell it  bad times  my dad bought it for me when he was in the states a couple of years ago and he didnt tell me how much he paid for it , and i dont want to ask now cos then he will notice if i sell it!!!! anyways here is the question how much should i sell it for,,, please help

Now for us to let you know if it is worth anything, we would first have to determine if it is what you think it is.

It sure doesn't look like it. It looks like a fake. The fact that you are belligerent when people point it out, and ask for more info, only reinforces the impression that you did this relic. You ask questions, you get informed opinions, and answers, but then you act out , when they aren't what you want to hear.

Lines like '...it is sex" are really associated with bad Asian fakes.

So to 'help' like you asked us to in your opening post. i don't think you should sell it to anyone, for more than a bare minimum. It probably isn't what you claim/think it is. You have no proof to support any claim it is what you say it is. it is worthless.

Keep an eye on his thread over in the "Ask Mike Eldred" sub-forum ... it ought to be fun when Mike pops in and shares with us his opinion.

As posted in your other post. Allparts is an aftermarket 'replacememnt' parts manufacturer.

Licensed part is not the same as genuine part.

Sorry that is definitive proof it is a fake. The decals are fake.

I am sorry that you don't have a real fender. No one takes joy in finding out someone has a fake. allparts make quality parts though. So if it is a great sounding guitar, you can still enjoy it for that. But it's resale value is not going to be high.

The too wide spacing of the 12th fret dot markers indicates that it isn't a made-by-Fender neck.

See, it's not a Fender neck:

It depends on what the other parts are.

What kind of pickups and bridge?

Hard to say, sometimes you can make more by parting out a partscaster, than selling the whole guitar.

I'd be curious to know who made it. That "voodoo" decal on the neck ... does that mean anything?

It looks like a decent non-amateur job (well except for some of the relicing).

Were those pickups you had in the Barcus Berry box the originals, and you replaced them with something else? And was that just a random box from somewhere, as B.B. don't make pickups for solid body guitars (as far as I'm aware)..?

not for nothing here but this WHOLE story sounds very lonely boyish to me....very vinnypop like. Just replace lonely boy with the voodoo strat and we have identical stories here. I smell a rat....yeah I'm a cynic to the bone......ps did you get your info to the ask mike thread yet....niki, cvill, orville...whats your take on this?....
