I purchaed a Highway One Stratocaster guitar and it seems that every time I use the tremolo bar it instantly detunes the guitar. When I don't use the tremolo, I don't have any tuning problems. And when I tune the guitar the B and G string make some strange sounds (like poc, poc). Could this be from the nut, those sounds seem to com from the string trees? Sorry guys for my English.

If you are hearing high pitched tink tink sounds coming from the nut it usually means the strings are getting pinched and hung up there. Brass nuts are the worst for this. Pick up some Guitar Grease from StewMac. It's great for lubricating nuts to alleviate problems like this.

I agree with the above two posts. I keep a small tube of graphite for a variety of uses.

What works really well, is pencil lead. Just scrape of some graphite from a number 2 pencil in the nut slots and your all set. No need to purchase those fancy lube drops, works the same.

I have set up my strat to only allow minimal wah wah effect. I did this by screwing in tighter the claw at the back, the 2 screws making the springs tighter and less flexable, keeping the strings more in tune for longer periods.
This is my set up, am happy with 50% less wah wah effect to stay in tune, I just like a mild vibrato sound.

Thank you all, I'll try that when I change the strings.

+1. I use the trem on my HWY1 pretty extensively, even for some Hendrix inspired wanking. It generally stays in good tune. I also read recently that EVH used a trem system from a strat on the first VH album (somebody correct me, if I'm wrong), so that's what you hear on that record. He also said that if you jerk the bar up a little after using it, it would pop back into tune. Something to consider.
(i got this info from a recent guitar mag).

This is why I set my trems to float. Even after the heaviest trem action, a quick up & down wobble at the end ensures accurate tuning afterwards.
