Hey everyone,

I have a gig coming up, and I'm thinking of purchasing strap locks to avoid any mishaps on stage. Unfortunately, I only have one case, (my strat's original hard-case), and I was wondering if my guitar would fit in the case with the strap locks installed, or would I have to buy a gig bag?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You might consider using a set of these:

and install some of the other kind later when you can check out your case's clearance.

Schaller and Dunlop fit within an OEM Strat case. I can't vouch for any other brands.

I dont use straplocks any more , but have the vintage strap buttons which are more than adequate.I dont do the duck walk across the stage either though.

Especialy if that gigs soon. I used em for years, their cheap as chips and a doddle to use. You dont need a screwdriver for them, not even once.

The gig is very soon, so I think I'll play it safe and go with orvilleowner and nikininja's suggestion and go for the Dunlop ergo strap locks.

Thank you very much for the quick replies.

I prefer Schaller strap locks. In fact my '90's strat came stock with the Schaller strap pins installed.

But having had a guitar drop out of the strap before (ironically the one with the schaller pins, but I wasn't using my strap with the yoke part that locks on em,) I would never play another gig without locks of some kind.

Of course they will. Why wouldn't they?
