Just got a used Fender Strat. 1995 or 1996. Mexican, rosewood neck, graphite bridge saddles and string trees. Neck p/u Duncan Duckbucker, middle p/u Duncan Strat Stack, and bridge JB Jr. It also has a push/pull pot on the second tone knob to create even more tones. THis is a versatile geet. I can go from Stevie Ray to Metal back to Trower and Hendrix and anything in between. I'll have to get some pron up tomorrow.

I suck at taking pictures. These do it no justice.

Great looking instrument. With those pups, it must have a lot of tonal possibilities. Nice score. 8) Mike

Nice strat.

Does this pup in middle is Classic stack plus? How is its output and tone compared to JBJr in bridge? Can you compare that pickup to classic single coil pickup or even that which is mounted on MIM Standart?

I've two JBJr's in my MIM Std strat and I'm going to put something hum cancelling in middle position. I was thinking a lot about Classic Stack, but I've never heard it. Does it has nice classic strat tone, is it brighter and cleaner than JBJr?

;)

The middle p/u is a Classic Strat STack. I don't know about the the "Plus".
It is very quiet, no hum. good bell like tones. Nothing at all like a stock MIM p/u. I can get some good SRV and Hendrix stuff off of it. I almost never used the middle p/u by itself before, now I find myself with another option.

Very similar. The Stack is just a bit quieter.

Thanks. I think I've made my decision. I'll have no hum strat ;)

Now I have to buy another more vintage styled one.
