Oddly enough, all the "what pickups to sound like SRV" and "How do I get SRV tone?" threads never made me think of this interview, but the thread about what cables people use did. He talks about coilies, cheapies, and Monsters. Also gives some interesting info on pickups.

Anyways, pretty fascinating interview with Cesar Diaz "The Amp Doctor". He talks a good deal about mods he did on various artists' gear and tells some pretty good tales of his times with those artists. Not really for virgin eyes though, so there's your warning. Won't get you sounding like SRV, but it's a step into that territory

Good read, and I am one who said that I use Vox and monster cables the most though I have others. Well my Vox cables I like are there Vintage Coils I have both blue and black and people look at me when I take them to places to use because so few now days use coils.
