I kinda like it...always thought they looked cool, own 3 other American Stratocasters. A '97, 2000 American Series, and an '04. Just got this '08 yesturday. Plugged it into my computer and noticed that it's a bit noisy. Picking up a strong signal from the volume knob and can hear quite a bit of buzz in the bridge.
The other guitars all have powered saddles and they sound much better for recording. The best one is the 2000 with the EMG DG-20 active pickups.
Has anybody else experienced this problem?
