The Iceland volcano is scary really blaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and twaaaaaaaaaaaaa stuff. If it drags on for a few more weeks I am going to raif mums piggy bank and head for the supermarket and stock up on dried beans lentils matches and looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo paper hahahahhaha .

Nice to see you back!! Sorry I have been a little busy mate, I met this beautiful girl who seemed nice but ended up being a real monster. She was half Italian/Spanish and she had a bit of a temper on her. I treated her nicely, I took her out to a picnic on a beach, movies, etc... Let me tell all what happened...

Cut a long story short, we made plans last week to have a nice quiet night in and it was all her idea- rent some movies, get some dinner and she was going to stay over at my place. She then told me on the day that she wanted me to meet one of her friends which was fine by me, so I said I would be at her place at 6pm. Then I was told that he was going to have a bag of green with him so I was then a little apprehensive about it but I didnt want to make a fuss so I went along with it. Then, plans changed again, and she wanted me to take her to his place because there was going to be a 'smokey gathering' (wink wink- 'pass it to the left hand side, my friend!' type). I then came out and told her that I dont associate myself with drugs of any kind and if she wanted to do so, then I would pick her up or she could drive over when she was right again... hell, I even said that I'd cook her a nice casserole and have it on her plate for her when she got here.

Her response to that? "Im going to be too stoned to see you". She couldnt smell the forest before the trees.

WHAT??? I totally got dissed because she wanted to get blazed!!!. and we were only 10days into seeing eachother- Im lucky I discovered she was a heavy smoker when I did.

She was highly educated (even for NZ standards- double BA, finished 2nd Masters and about to do a Phd), had a good job, as beautiful as anything.. mind you, she had a temper like a true Italian woman and it seemed like she flew off the handle at the drop of a hat.

The next day, I had a call from her. I made it clear that I didnt want to see her again, yet she called to tell me she was thinking of me, and she wanted to know if I would talk with her and go out to a function with her. I obliged thinking that perhaps we could work something out or be friends. So I went to her place, she greeted me with a kiss and I got her a bunch of flowers. We went in my car into Auckland City, we went to a famous kebab place. She called me 'Babe' and 'Hun' all night, then came out and asked me if I had seen American Idol the previous night, where one of them was singing alone with an acoustic guitar. She told me she thought of that song and she cried when she thought of me- and thats it. thats all the 'talk' we had. We then went to the function, and along the way I asked her what the story was- as I didnt want to over-step a boundary with her as I wanted to know where we both were at.

"Oh, we are just friends" Fantastic, I thought to myself cynically- exactly what I didnt want. I wanted time away from her before I decided if we were going to be friends.

So at this function, it was a bit of a get-together for a new counsellor that is running for office. There were all sorts of people there, mainly from local body govt. type of individuals- I found the whole night totally boring and superficial to the point that I just wanted to hurl. To make it worse, Franscesca totally ignored me, and had her back to me the whole night and she hardly spoke a word to me. after a few hours, we ended up leaving, and by this time, she was very drunk. I thought perhaps we could have talked a bit- but on the way back to her house, and she started sms someone- and behold when we got home, was her mate with a small bag waiting for her.. man I felt like an idiot. Why did I bother in the first place- all I was that night was a cheap ride home so she could drink.

I left and I told her that I couldnt go on- the next night I made it clear on the phone, that I am not here to be treated like crap- and I did not appreciate being ignored at a function where I didnt know anyone. I then slammed the phone down after advising her never to contact me again.

I guess a nice night with her respectful man wasnt enough eh- anyhow, back to the single life!!! Are there any decent ladies left in this world- Uh!

Firstly I have 2 guitars finished one a strat type with humbuckers like the new york apple, I will put a link of it on youtube asap as I still cannot download pics here for some flaming reason. The other guitar is very special and am waiting to receive confimation of my trade mark design.

Blerties she sounds not nice at all, a druggie though I have nothing against druggies as I toke sometimes but to use you for rides ignore you and make you second choice to smoko is not on...............she will find out what she lost a decent man. I bet she is gorgeous being italian and spanish and wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bad mix for temper tantrums. I am happy you met her, maybe if she would ease off the toke and put you first she would be lovely. Dont be desperate blerties your a top goodlooking bloke.

I guess she couldnt control her temper- she needed to use green to escape it and relax. But I wont stand for being second best to it at all- a home cooked casserole, a movie with a blanket on the couch with her man just wasnt enough... I have a stance where I grab life by the nuts and wrestle myself out of depression if things are bad or anything- I dont believe in drowning myself or doing drugs or stuff. I must say I come from a long line of drinkers and I am standing against it. Last time I got seriously smashed was oct 2006, the time before that 2005. The time before that- 2003. It is a struggle but I do it for others, not for myself. I hope to end a cycle of family alchoholism that has haunted our family for generations.

Yeah I have no issues with it being once or twice a year smoking pot- she came out and told me that she did it at least once a week. I have major heart palpatations (irregular heartbeat) when I am on something, stressed or tired. It's no issue, but when it happens it brings on anxiety- couple that with paronia from being stoned- the last time I had some was in Amsterdam, I thought I was gonna die there- they were that bad.

Funny enough- I had the best time of my life. However- that wasnt entirely green if you know what I mean... I was naive enough to think anything bought at the Grasshopper pub was going to be if anything- mild.
How wrong I was, I think it had some kind of fairy dust or something- it made me listen to Wish You Were Here album that night- wow what a totally different experience that was!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh blerties you have been to Amsterdam wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I can only have a toke when I feel good about life otherwise I also get paranoid and anxious. I am proud of you that you have taken a stand against alcoholism an applaud you and you have succeeded. Even if we drop off the handle sometimes we get back on the horse and keep riding. So have you told her that you dont like being used for drugs and that life can be good with someone who cares, does she know how you feel and why...........she needs to know dont write her off yet have you explained yourself be merciful to.

Yeah I have mate, I sent her an email telling her exactly how I feel, and asking her to remember why we like eachother in the first place and letting her know that she is welcome into my life. Im not too sure if I will see/hear from her again, Im not too worried to be perfectly honest as I could do without her type. We are not that much alike at all. At the very most I'd like to be friends, but I somehow dont think thats going to happen. She still couldnt understand that you dont place things like that before people who care about you. Golden rule of a woman keeping a man I guess.

So whats new in Vinny's world mate? Last I saw you were building a strat... relicing some metal work I do remember... how is that coming along?

Ooops I just noticed you put them on youtube, very cool. I like the strat and the teardrop guitar... very different influences but they have come together very well. I bet no-one else thought of that huh...

Thanks niki and blerties, I am excited about the tear drop design meets strat it looks nice, that gold one is the middle of the road model. The one I am building now has an amber gold finished neck and electronics from an authentic usa strat and also a full gold fender tremelo block its a beautiful guitar, I hand cut them and finish them, will start selling as soon as my design specs from the Government come through. Niki the vox was a more egg shaped design it failed in the electronics department so I am hoping to launch these 3 models, I still have a soft spot for the original strat shaped bodies.
