Hi!

Does anyone have an opinion in regards to the value of an ORIGINAL Fender Monterey Pop Stratocaster, with all of the case candy, but that is missing the custom aluminum case? I know that a complete set of the guitar, case and case candy just sold on eBay for $15k. Also, Ed Roman Guitars is asking around $15k for one as well.

Please share thoughts!

    well, you have your answer. no need to ask us. Monty's aren't selling well lately because of builders, like my friend. I could have one professionally replicated, with FCS '69s, AAA Flamed neck, and even replicated decals from monty #64, for under 1400.00 (of course, I am buying one)

    I feel bad for the monty owners who need to sell them because of the economy.

    IF they are selling for 15thou thats what their worth, no matter who is making what. Whether that state of affairs continues is another matter.
    Stuff is only worth what people will pay for it.
