I have an 07 american strat that i thought was having trouble but a well known local guitar play said that i just can't touch my wammy bar. This really saddens me because i love using it. Whats going on is that the guitar just goes out of tune everytime I touch the wammy. Is there a way for me to set up and still be able to use the wammy. Right now I have it all the way back so that if i break a string it wont go out of tune.

A trem setter... there are many on the market to use.
But it can slightly effect the way the whammy plays and/or feels...

here is an example...

Thats for when you break strings...
Other than that u need a proper set up... meaning the nut of the guitar must grooved just right and locking tuners to stay in tune.

What?

By any chance did you change the gauge of your strings? That may make the springs a little too light.

If you are having issues with your trem taking your guitar out of tune, yes adjust the strings a little.

A 2007 Strat shouldn't have any tuning issues when using the "talent lever" in my opinion.

I'd find a better tech if what's already been mentioned doesn't remedy the situation. Somethings wrong there.

Good luck!
