Hello all,

Can you tell me... are all Strat 'plus' models the same spec, or has the term 'plus' meant different things at different eras?

My Strat Plus has:
Lace Pickups
Roller nut
Locking tuners
Tremsetter

- is this standard for a Plus?

Maybe it's different levels of craftsmanship on the three varieties or different wood, pieces of wood ? If your guitar sounds good to you, that's all that really matters.

The late 80’s/early 90’s Strat plus had gold lace sensors and either a Wilkenson or an LSR nut and a TBX tone control for the bridge and middle p’ups.

The Plus Deluxe (I have a ‘93 model) had the same as above but with the deluxe style trem bridge (pop in bar,) the trem-setter in the back, and for pickups a Red (hot) Lace Sensor in the bridge, a Silver (boosted midrange) in the middle and a Blue (50’s humbucker sound) Sensor in the neck. Mine is an Antique Sunburst with an ash laminate top. I switched my Laces and put the Blue in the bridge, a Gold in the middle and the silver in the neck. I played it that way for years but eventually got tired of the Lace sound and installed a set of vintage style passive p’ups…

The Ultra (if I remember right) had an ebony fretboard, maple top and dual Lace sensor bridge p'up(humbucker size)…
