'ello.
I got a new Twin Reverb amp the other day and I'm currently in the process of getting the right balance with my pedals and all that.
Its my Dunlop re-issue Fuzz Face whats the problem this time.
I know fuzz faces are known for there in-consistancy and that, but I'v grown to like it for that. The very small thing whats annoying me is the sheer difference in volumn when I kick on it... it sounds like a completely different amp I'm playing on. Its never really made as much as a difference in volumn on the amps I'v had prior to this one. To me, its not a fuzz face if you turn the fuzz or volumn controls down because you can't get that sudden boost of 'creamy' feedback when you roll the volumn to 10 on the strat.

From what I'v said there, it doesn't really sound like it can be helped... but you know... any suggestions? other than binning the fuzz face?

Adjust the amps input gain to suit or buy a amp that was designed for clipped sounds. I always thought the idea of a twin was to stay clean till way up the dials.
