What No Teles? Just kidding, great collection these guitars must sound great through the 2203 and the G12T75s-the best speaker Celestion made since the Greenback,IMHO.BTW the 2203 was according to Jim Marshall the best amp he ever made,I tend to agree.

Your links are all 404. I too am a big fan of Lynch from way back in the day and never noticed any of his guitars having a scalloped board. I certainly haven't read every article about the dude, but his bengal Kramer, Kamikaze, and Mr. Scary weren't scalloped and those were his main guitars in the 80's aside from the Frogg which there is a lot of debate as to whether ESP slapped an entire neck, or just relogoed the headstock after he picked up the endorsement.

Just curious as to where you got the info that lynch used scalloped necks? I am a serious fan and I have seen him perform 5 or 6 times (3 times not more than 10' away), have numerous articles and pictures, instructional videos, etc. I have never seen a scalloped neck in his guitar collection or any of the guitars he has used live. George has a very heavy handed playing style and would be going sharp on everything. If you have any articles or pictures with a scalloped neck I would love to see it.

George is the one that got me interested in scalloped necks…. I remember some time in the late 80’s reading an article in a guitar mag with George Lynch where they were asking him about his scalloped necks and their playability and what not. I had just started playing guitar and was overly intrigued about everything GUITAR. I remember that when I read this I honestly had no idea what scalloping was and since it was the age before the internet I had only to ask others what this meant.. 6 or 8 months later I hooked up with a guitar player who was a huge Malmsteen follower who explained it to me and from that point I have been fascinated with scalloped necks..

George uses a partial scallope from fret 10 -22. he used it primarily on the J-frog skull and bones guitars (The originals not the ESP remakes)
. I have a poster of him in my guitar room with the skull and bones and you can clearly see the scallops on the neck…also have some old guitar mags from way back and you can see it on some of the ESP’s he had as well.

Hard to find too much on the net but here is a sight that talks about it and some pix. Kind of tough to see but you can make them out.. I am not sure where you are located but Skull and bones #1 is on display at the hard rock in California..

yeap, coz i dont like tele's sound . tele doesnt support for my music .....
only with Strat , lespaul , and maybe some of the modern style guitar like washburn or ernie ball , hehe ...

about the speaker, i also like the sound from G12T75 than from greenback G12M25. G12M25 is too trebly and less dynamic on the medium-hi gain. much better using G12T75 if we want more clarity, balance tonal, and more dynamic sound ;)

Gooswyn really nice herd you have there. I was just wondering in over 30 years I have never played a scalloped fretboard and guys I have spoke to who do say they really cant play anything else once they switched over. How do you feel going from a scalloped neck to say a Les Paul.

from the first time i play guitar until now, im still a strat guy (my first electric guitar is strat copy, that i used for 4 years before my 2nd electric guitar come)

and first time when i used the scalloped neck, it was very weird to my hand ....
but it need 2 weeks - 1 month (everyday playing - 2 hours/day) to get adaptation for the scalloped neck

and for the les paul, the difficulty come from my right hand, because of the carved top lespaul body. not the left hand / neck position. because my left hand still comfort with the vintage style neck a la fender (50's , 60's or 70's) or Gibson LP (50's or 60's neck) . no matter that is scalloped neck or not ;)

and, i remember .... i need 2-3 months to get the adaptation for the lespaul body to my righthand , longer time than for the scalloped neck, hehehe .... :D
