Gary Moore is known for his 59 Les Pauls, but he is also a long time strat user. He often plays his 60s fiesta red strat when not playing a Les Paul. He certainly gets a great sound out of his strat. Fender should make a Gary Moore fiesta red sig strat.

Check out this youtube of Gary with his famous fiesta red 60s strat. This performance was at the 50th Anniversay Fender Strat concert which Gary was invited to perform.

Did he get his original one back? I thought that Red Strat of his (Like a 1963 or so) was stolen and that's why he stopped playing it!

So it was stolen and British Customs found it? Is that story published anywhere?

Yes, it was published. I think I read it in an old issue of Guitarworld magazine, but here is a site with Gary Moore interview and Gary mentioning it. Read on and you'll find it.

The post should really read as Gary WAS also a Strat man, imho, I am and have and always will be, a HUGE Gary Moore fan, from his very early days to his sad demise to a blues man, and Gary was always a Guitar player first and foremost, Gary and the Stratocaster were never far away.
