Hi everybody,

I have Japanese Fender Strat with serial number E954292. I look at the information at fender website it says that it was made between 1984-1987. When i opened the neck pocket, it written 1989 at the neck..

Could you guys please explain this to me, because i'm little bit confuse about this..

your guitar was made in 1989

letter E=8 and the 9 stands for the year
sometimes fender save's the necks and uses them later
so they can be a few years off. but whatever the bottom of the neck.
