alright, in my search for a used strat i came across this...

http://kitchener.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-se ... Z143945821

any info on this guitar? is it MIM? is the finish custom? or is this a "splatocaster" (i know very little of the splatocaster series)

oh yeah, and is that price fair?

all input is appreciated.
thanks,

Trukis

i don't think anyone can tell for sure with our looking at the headstock.

but i am almost sure it is.

as far as price goes i have no idea what they go for or cost,

all i do know is that they are kind of rare guitars and i have never seen one in real life.

i hope i helped.

Ummmmmmm... I may get chewed out for this, but just because something is rare does not make it appealing for the eye... That's one ugly instrument.. Just my opinion....

i never said it was.

Rare just means it is hard to come by.

Flesh Eating Diseases are rare and they are not very appealing to the eye either. lol

Says right in the description that it is a MIM. In my personal opinion: Price seems high for a used MIM. Even with the special paint job and SD pups.

They weren't real popular. I saw some that actually looked pretty cool. I think they were pretty inexpensive if I remember correctly. I think they were around the $400 450 range. The price on that one does seem steep. I don't think they're all that collectible especially if it's not original .

That's almost double what you can get a used MIM for around here.

Well its a Mexico strat. There Hit and miss frm what Ive experienced. It may have got a special paint job there as well as a bit of the other specialties. Maybe someone that worked in factory was gonna keep it. It looks cool. The bit of neck that shows looks real. I know this is no news. But it would be awesome if it was like that from the factory.

its a pain really.

but yeah im turning away from this, was just curious to see if its worth anything,
