Twelvebar brilliant hahahhahahaha infamy has now caught up with me. I wont add anything you are doing well, the finished product has to go on youtube with some music it may score a couple of million hits Godwilling lol.
A little story about old Alan Kissick sadly missed by me RIP 1992. He once opened up a little black book for me, inside were the names and addresses of
The Osmands mangers, The Jacksons managers and Elvis Presleys manager Col Tom as well as all these other people. I said '' Al please give me the book PLEASE.'' Alan replied '' Vince if no one helps you on this earth that little black book will be my last resort.'' Alan did secure a meeting for me with the manager of Warner Chappell music Mr Brommel in 1990 after my second minor hit Never Knew The Way the other band with my bro and we were offered a recording contract and publishing deal with a 20K advance, but the band folded as a gigging band in 1991, Drops Of Light still remains as a studio band and publishing arm.

We just need a closing verse, and a chorus. Hopefully by unique contributors.

I'm glad to see that you are still around here vinnypop.

A lesser man would have disappeared days (and many many posts) ago.

I'm also extremely glad to hear that the money has hit your account.

I am doing fine, thanks for asking. I don't play it everyday (it's just one of a large stable). The band I was in is on hiatus, unfortunately, after losing our lead singer. There were other personal changes that were almost unbelievable (and will go unspoken).

Hangin' in there Vinny! Did you say you had a 68 SG that you dropped and cracked the neck?? I had a 68 SG when I was a teenager and the strap broke during a jam in a garage. The seam cracked where the neck was glued to the body. Had it repaired, but it was never the same. It wouldn't stay in tune, so I dumped it. :x

Hey Vinny,

I gotta tell you, since you popped on the scene a couple days ago I have felt soo much joy & laughter. As I told you, I havent been well lately and have been off work for stress related leave.

Since you came about, you brought out the Vinnypop trooper in me. You have won us with your winning attitude and your friendliness, and inspiring stories. I think inside us all, there is a vinnypop fighter ready to do damage when things get tough and the tough get going. I say with inspiration, you cannot know the meaning of life untill you have done a lot for the benefit of others. Something all take for granted. If you are ever in our beautiful country, Id like you to look me up so I can shout you a beer :)

Im getting a bit D&M here but im sure others would agree.

Three cheers to Vinnypop!!! **raises a glass**

Wow. This truly is an extraordinarily interesting thread; moreover, I've discovered that one can find enlightenment anywhere. Thus: many apologies, Vinnypop, for the thinly-veiled malice and unwarranted venom contained in my previous posts (both in this thread, and in the original). You are a sublimely cheerful fellow, and I'm happy to have you on the board.

As a brief side-note, I was recently in Australia and (having no guitar to play) visited a handful of guitar shops, both in Melbourne and in Perth. I was absolutely scandalized by the prices: it seemed that sticker prices down under (even considering the roughly $.90CAD Australian dollar) were at least double what they should be. How do you guys do it!?

For myself, I've just never bought a guitar brand new from a store. I'd like to experience the true "new guitar" thrill, but really the best option in Australia is to grab a used one. That works out well sometimes... when I bought my Ultra in 1992, it was hanging with a lot of vintage pieces that were much more desirable and it was considered a bit new-fangled. They'd only been out for a month or two, but some rich kid had bought one and decided he didn't like it so I scored it brand new for half the retail... AUD $1500 at the time instead of $3000.

Blerties Trauma and Vulcon and mondo hi guys hang in there Blerties what we are today is not what we can be tommorow it takes perserverance and faith and to try and stick to our better conscience of things but is is very easy to go the other way though it may seem enjoyable and more fun it only leads to destruction most times. A beer blerties sounds lovely maybe one day I will be able to travel and meet some of you dear friends and truly nice decent folk.
