That was the Strat you're selling? No wonder you have mixed feelings about selling it. very nice tone. 7 pounds, is that fully assembled? cus if it is, much lighter than i would have expected, nice.

How do you have the pickup adjusted Vin? I would probably try it out with them set super low. That gives you the most natural string vibration patterns. Higher pickup the pole pieces exert more pull and distort the vibration of the string more. lower leaves the natural vibration pattern closer to pristine, but you do get a bit weaker signal. However if you like your amp you can just turn it up a bit and let it handle more of the load.

This is of coarse just my opinion. But I personally think more of the guitars character comes out with lower pickups. I think low pickup settings might emphasize your choice of wood more.

twelvebar as low as possible thats the first thing but I created a strat body which weighs several pounds more than a normal strat and that gives me the extra warmth and balls

hehe yeah. i was just postulating my theory that lower pickups might emphasize that design choice.

sounds great.

I like a bit heavier than some of the super light ones. I have some friends who think an LP is too heavy to gig with, but unless you have back problems doing a few situps should take care of that!!

Goodmorning or evening to all blaaaaaaaaa and twaaaaaaaaaaaa to everyone, the Vincent Strauss first guitar had a few problems which I had to fix, the golden relic, the buyer complained the knobs were too stiff and he didnt like the middle picup slightly angled at 45 degrees hahahahahahha but that all added to the unique sound so now I have to repair the knobs may need new pots as they are old and rusted but I disagree with the middle picup will leave it angled as that gave some sound character, the second Vincent Strauss on ebay a far better guitar with NO ISSUES ends in a few days, do you guys and gals want more Vinny Pop stories ? let me know thanks blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and twaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa to everyone

Yo, Vin. Haven't posted in a while, and you probably don't remember, but I'm the guy a while back who said he was in the Navy. We just pulled into Sydney, so if you want to jam or something, let me know. The only guitar I have with me is a travel acoustic though. I'll be around the city for the next few days. And even if we can't set up a jam, let me know what you think are some hot spots to go in Sydney for ladies, and/or great music. I know there's a jazz festival going on here right now, and some sort of latin festival as well, starting the day after tomorrow. Sounds like a good time.

Gday sofingraw happy your in Sydney, a jam sounds great but I care for my mum 24 hours a day so I cant get away sorry about that. Babes yes, If your stationed at Woolloomooloo bay up the road in Kings Cross, thats the red light area of Sydney a nice bar is Bourban Beefsteak opposite the fountain many well dressed ladies go there and there are a lot of clubs around that area. Coogee Bay Hotel on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon is nice too with some music and babes opposite the beach theres a large outdoor area. Have a great stay in Sydney and keep in touch maybe we can jam one day and talk Fender.
