Hello trauma my friend many stories prepared and all true but all I have to say at this stage is my world plan for Vinny Pop Godwilling I am attempting to influence the world through my bedroom to have an impact in world affairs using my pc...can we run the world through your bedroom and pc, well not just my pc hahahahah using my lyrics music and the gift God gave me ...my mind and incredible and crazy ideas. This year appears to be the year Vinny Pop is emerging so its a special year for me. My first target has been the whale cause which thank God the song was signed up and hopefully when it appears on the site Savethewhales.org it will be a great success and yes folks I did sign the contract with Mrs Vinny Pop who co wrote some of the lyrics. Mrs Vinny Pop always reminds me that SHE is the brains behind my success and I appease her and shake my head always saying '' Yes baby its you '' this shuts her up for about 2 hours a day. Lets all start running the earth the planet right now we can come up with ideas music and MAKE AN IMPACT nothing is impossible.

So Vin, do you reckon you could sort my dog out?

Hey i had a look at that save the whale site. Look at this bit - download and print the music. Does that include the lyrics. If it does our Vin is sure to make a impact on all them kids across the world. It will be quite a life altering experience for them.

Ok here is an authentic true story never published till now about the early days of The Easybeats told to me by Alan Kissick RIP my friend and manager
1987 - 1992

It was a cold night in the early sixties when the band was emerging. They were scheduled to perform at a hotel in Sydney. After the gig Alan approached the publican and asked for the money. It was a packed out event though they were not famous at that stage. The hotel owner said that not enough money was made though the place was packed and refused to pay. It got heated as Alan told me and next minute threats were being made. Soon after Alan who carried a small pistal always on gigs said that he was forced to take it out in self defense and that the money owing was paid. He was one heck of a manager and was the organiser of their first tour to UK but on their return a dirty was done and they broke the contract with him and the subsequent manager was installed. They did retain Alan as adviser consultant.

Vin, you bring those whales down here mate- I'll look after 'em for you. Kiwis love them and so do the chinese tourists- they pay huge amounts to be taken out on a boat in the freezing cold to (most times) watch nothing  .

Have you read AC/DC Biography? they talked about those days in the lifesaving clubs- trying to scratch a living in the early days. I highly recommend its a good read- you cant put the book down songs like "Downpayment Blues" and "It's A Long Way To The Top (if you wanna rock 'n roll)" were written about those days playing union halls, churches and nightclubs

Gday Blerties no worries will do lol poor whales, yes money can be generated by whale watching but the Japanese and Netherlands prefer whale McDonalds instead difficult to change cultures and a way of life but all attempts have an impact we just cant sit back can we? Ive never read it but was contacted a few years ago by the writer of that book or possibly The Easybeats biography wanting to know everything about Alan Kissick, I obliged and recounted all I knew about the man, there are a couple of bits and pieces on him scattered throughout the net but not nearly as much as he deserves. He did establish The Easybeats and found 2 members for ACDC the early years. I contacted Albert studios once run by Vanda and Young and gave my views on their neglect of Alan in his part of history for their 2 bands both bands are a family business mind you brothers cousins. They never replied to me.

I think without the easybeats- there would be no AC/DC. Malcolm runs that band like a business, The drummer Phil Rudd I think based himself here in Whakatane running his own studio giving time to underpriveleged talented school kids- he also had a helicopter business. That was untill Chris Slade left and Phil got back in, and made the album "Ballbreaker". There were hints of him rejoining when they were here playing Western Springs Stadium during Razors Edge tour- Phill obviously was in town to watch them play.

Go grab that book mate- trust me, there would be a few names in it you may know. Angus is my Fav guitarist- loaded full of charisma, a 'wind 'em up and let him go' type of player. Im going to see them in Feb next year when they play. I think it may be the last time we see them

Did you get it for that advertised price?! 'cos that was good value... congratulations, man. You'll have to take pics of the antique burst; that would look great on the flame maple...

[edit] I see the auction's now closed... you can get a replacement tremolo arm cheap through eBay (be about NZ$15 or so) if your Am. Deluxe one doesn't fit... I don't know if those snap in the same way, but I don't see why not. Those dings would be a bit annoying if you'd been the one who put them there, but they're to be expected in a 20-year-old guitar that's actually been played! Nice one.

Yeah it was good value- he sold it to me for the listed price. serial# indicates that its '89 but I think it was manf early '90. It has one of the larger roller nuts that were soon replaced, and chrome locking tuners instead of the brushed style. Since I first played a strat plus when I was 14yrs old of the same year in fiesta red after church all those years ago, Ive allways wanted a strat plus. but I never thought a strat plus ULTRA!!! bonus!!! :D

I think this deserves a GAME FACE!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

I edited my post above, but there's been a flurry of activity...

yeah, the older Wilkinsons (mine has the same) have their detractors, but really they're fine unless you want to use very heavy gauge strings... in which case you'll just have to get over it and go back to 10s :D .

I'm pretty sure the ultras always had chrome everything anyway, with no brushed metal to be seen... the early ones had Sperzel locking tuners rather than Schallers. They seem interchangeable, anyway.

Xhefri is your new best friend...

Yeah the marks are superficial, im not too bothered by them. I can allways fix that later on but I dont think I will to be honest. Believe me mate- I dont think there are many of them here in NZ- Ive hunted for a strat plus for years and can only count the number on a few digits on my right hand the amount of times Ive seen them. Actually, in the past 12months, Ive seen two. Allbeit at the same price for this one. Ive considered heading to Melbourne or Brisbane if one came avail on Ebay but we dont use Ebay here in NZ would you believe. We use Trademe. So a Strat Ultra is ultra hard to find here- like a lacey bra in a nunnery.
