He's well into monday morning already at 6pm GMT. By the time I go to bed he'll be tucking into lunch. I think our Vin is a bit of a stop up late guy (as am I).

It is Sunday 2:20 pm here in sunny south florida but I am usually an up late kinda guy myself. The time zones make so that when everyone wakes up they have something waiting for them.............I wonder if our Vinny can tell us tommorrows lotto numbers being it is already monday and all........LOL I have to admit this is the most fun I have had on the forum in along time...the powers of Vinnypop! Anyway still trying to strengthen my fingers and I am looking for easy songs to play on my strat......for beginners of course....I might end up learning the new Vinnypop song as my practice.....

Hey Alley Cats 8) interesting to say- we are +12GMT NZ and are first to see the new day on the east coast on the North Island- and that means Vinny and I are in the future... Vinny is 3hrs behind me I think in Sydney.. thanks for the breakfast though- Ill leave you something for tea- I just need to jumpstart the Delorean and set it for the past... :D hahaha

Morning gang huggs the women and shakes hands with the blokes hows everyone today in Vinny Pop land. Yes orville it is a 1968 sorry about that the stamped 61 in the back of it must be a model number perhaps. Woody87 hahahahah I didnt write the song Halleys Comet by Shinedown, I wrote my Halleys Comet in 1986 by my other band Drops Of Light. I ended up scoring the strat body fantastic total price 300 Aud , I get a solid dark stained wood strat style body heavy wood nice and real fender loaded pic guard and pots ive seen them this time is that a good price I will whack the 93 neck.

Blertes thats a great idea on the ask ME forum. Instead of having 23 of 100 you could just have 23, Blertes.

Very cool idea, every instrument would be unique.

Do you think you would be interested Niki or anyone else? :D I think its brilliant!!! Im currently eyeing up a '89 strat ultra for NZ $1700- but Ill stretch to NZ$4K if its possible :)

Blertles, that's exactly the same as my ultra (except mine's a '91).

Last time I saw one of those on eBay here -- and they don't come up very often -- it had a buy-it-now of AUD $2,250. It lasted maybe an hour before someone snapped it up.

I paid $1,500 for mine in 1992... half price as it was second hand. Some kid was given it and probably wanted a locking-tremolo-pointy-metal guitar instead.

If you have the cash it's a worthy guitar. Only problem is, if you decide to grab it and flip it for a profit you will not want to let it go. I'm slightly in that position with mine... I'd love a new guitar, but I will not part with that ultra. I decided that the best thing to do is put it in for a PLEK treatment and make it feel new again.

One day I think they'll be worth something investment-wise, but for now it's players who are willing to pay decent sums for these. I think it's because you can't usually just decide you want one and then find someone who is selling theirs... they're versatile guitars and the switching options on the dual sensors mean that you'll always want it around for those times when you need that humbucker quality, even if it's not your main guitar.

Do you think its a worthy investigating further then? the challenge is that its a pick-up only, and its a days worth of driving just to get there

Gawd yeah mate. I think its best to keep em simple though, a 57 or a 62 maybe. Atleast then everyone could have maple or rosewood boards. Gonna be looking at a pretty penny for em anyway though. A regular timemachine series is around £2k Or NZ$5K  . Any added extras are likely to take things into masterbuilt prices £3.5K or NZ$8800. Thats a hell of a lotta green to pay for a teambuilt guitar. I think we could be better off to buy a load of neckplates off ebay, engrave em ourselves to order and flog em.
The way my dogs going at costing me money the only reward i'm going to be able to give myself for quitting smokes is a final injection for him. Bloody mut cost me £1800 this weekend he tore my bed mattress to shreds. Luckily the airbed has sufficed since then but the missus wont wear sleeping on that for long. She expects me off to the bed shop and spring another fortune for a new mattress first thing in the morning. So any dreams of me getting a nes CS guitar are dissapearing fast.

Its times like this that make me wish youthenasia was legal in england. I'd plan a trip to holland to get myself on the program but know by the time i'd got there i'd have changed my mind.

Hello trauma my friend many stories prepared and all true but all I have to say at this stage is my world plan for Vinny Pop Godwilling I am attempting to influence the world through my bedroom to have an impact in world affairs using my pc...can we run the world through your bedroom and pc, well not just my pc hahahahah using my lyrics music and the gift God gave me ...my mind and incredible and crazy ideas. This year appears to be the year Vinny Pop is emerging so its a special year for me. My first target has been the whale cause which thank God the song was signed up and hopefully when it appears on the site Savethewhales.org it will be a great success and yes folks I did sign the contract with Mrs Vinny Pop who co wrote some of the lyrics. Mrs Vinny Pop always reminds me that SHE is the brains behind my success and I appease her and shake my head always saying '' Yes baby its you '' this shuts her up for about 2 hours a day. Lets all start running the earth the planet right now we can come up with ideas music and MAKE AN IMPACT nothing is impossible.

Could you contact the seller and ask how they feel about a courier picking it up? I've done this with a pick-up-only item that had to get from Melbourne to Sydney and it went quite smoothly. There will be an NZ equivalent of SmartSend.com.au where you enter the source and destination postcodes, dimensions and weight and they'll give you a quote. It would probably come to about $50 for something guitar-sized, but I can't be sure. It'll be cheaper than a day's driving, though, although I'm sure nikininja will be squirming at the idea of anybody turning down a day's blat through NZ... heh.
