Hi Guys,

Does Yngwie have a very high action for a reason? or is it just the way he prefers it...i too like medium/high. Does anyone know the measurements for it too? Also people have told me Jeff Becks trem is set way up in the air? is that correct?

Yes,Yngwie likes to dig into the strings, he said that low action is like driving a ferrari on a frozen lake. Sounds fun,btw. In addition,he has those nice necks.

I also believe that high action gives much better tone and sustain,probably discussed on this great forum somewhere.

thanks jeffbeck2000..do you like a high action too? i would be interested to know what height you use...im a little concerned mine are too high..but it does feel great and the sustain is magic! so i guess its ok..hey if its ok for Yngwie then its ok for me..heheh!

Yes, I like high action..It began as I raised the strings ,I believed it was good for practicing and training the strenght of my fingers. I got used to it, and prefer them really high. Funny when others look at/try out my guitars also
