Fenderseeker, I do try to entertain. Incidentaly that quote is it from the doors of perception or the book Huxely wrote after it? Its been nigh on 20 years since i read any of his stuff. It certainly helped me understand why i was enjoying myself so much as a teen.

I must confess I haven't read his works. I just found the quote when I was seeking a signature line. On wikipedia it states it is from Music at Night (1931). I think music, in a lot of ways does things words cannot do...so I settled on this quote...I may go back and research he who wrote it. 8)

Unless your into psychedelia Aldous Huxely will bore you. His most remembered book (and where the doors got there name from) 'the doors of perception' was basicaly about some old guy who took some mescaline or lsd and looked at the wallpaper patterns. Likened it to having expanded perception and went on to live the rest of his life getting off his head.

Not a bad existence for a pensioner in the 30's/40's.

Yeah definitely not into that kind of stuff. I noticed this as I perused the wikipedia profile. I may update my quote to someone more like me even though I liked that quote.

Heres a great quote from my grandad. 'Buggerem! Bloody young uns'.

Seriously all the best in the quote hunt. I gave up on it and got a picture instead. I decided there are not words enough in human language to make me seem cool 8) and interesting, so i got a picture that expresses me perfectly.

Did Leo Fender design the precision bass released in 1951 I really hope it was him because thats where the strat design came from does anyone know is it written in the annals. It bothers me how his close partners all clame to have been the designers of various bits and pieces but if Leo designed the 51 bass I give him full credit for the strat body shape but at thjis stage I DONT KNOW

Vinny George Fullerton's contributions to the strat design are well documented. He worked with Leo from pretty much the outset being a guitarist. Leo wasnt a player at all so Fullerton's input on the esquire and broadcaster was vital. If his input into the P,bass isnt documented i cant fathom why.

They were good friends, thats why they formed G(eorge)&L(eo) together many years later in Leo's twilight years.

Whether the strats sexy shape was intentional or not, there is no mistaking the resemblance.....

The compostion on this one is elegant. The sexual innuendo is explicit, but not new to ad marketing in the guitar industry.

No it's not. I am almost 100% sure it's SAFFRON BURROWS whose name is shown at the top of the ad in caps. LOL :D :D
