I know that the 60's Classic Strat used to be available in Olympic White and Shell Pink. But not anymore. Even though these online retailers show these colors as available choices for the guitar in the group photo the drop-down box does not list them so I assume Fender cancelled them.

Kinda bums me out cuz I like both of them. Wasn't anyone ordering the guitar in these colors?

Fender rotates its colors. It's a good marketing strategy. It keeps the line new. If you like a certain color it encourages you to buy NOW.

Olympic White is not available in the 60's Classic model. Neither is Shell Pink.

Good question. If I saw a MIA strat in shell pink, I would be shelling out some dough and taking it home.

Unlike many other people on this forum I don't like the American Standards and the American Deluxes and the Hwy One and all those models. I just don't like what they've done to them. They simply don't have the vintage look.

My Strats must have the vintage look.

Yeah I love that. But it would not make sense for me to purchase one since I am going to remove the neck and pickups anyway. I'd be paying huge dollars for what amounts to be just the body.

But if you are going to remove the neck and the pickups why don't you just build a warmoth guitar the way you like?

I don't want Warmoth. I want genuine Fender. Warmoth's colors won't match Fender's. You can tell they are off. No good. I want a genuine Fender neck with the truss rod adjustment at the heel. If I ordered warmoth I would get a truss rod adjustment at the side of the neck. Not what I want. Then there is the whole decal issue.

What truss rod adjustment on the side of a neck :?: Truss rod adjustments are not on the side. You can buy a better warmoth neck for 300.00+ Thats why I dont understand why you said you would change the neck and pickups.

Warmoth does not put all their truss rods in normal places. With a genuine Fender the truss rod is either at the headstock or at the heel. With some Warmoth models it is on the side of the neck. I don't want 22 frets either.

I would not agree Warmoth will build you a better neck. I just picked up a Fender Robert Cray neck that is superb. There is nothing at all wrong with Fender necks.
